Automatic Windows Update failed for KB975560, during manual installation it says "The update does not apply to your system"

Security Update for Windows Server 2008 (KB975560) failed to install under automatic update list.
Manually downloaded the updated and it displays: "The update does not apply to your system"

This may be causing my "Roles" from displaying...

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you've downloaded it manually and it tells you that it's not required it would suggest that, despite Windows Update saying otherwise, it did in fact install.  In terms of your roles failing to display, I don't think that the patch would cause that problem as it addresses a vulnerability that could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to compromise your system and gain control over it.  The following kb will help understand what the patch does: http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?kbid=975560.  It's interesting to note that the kb article does not have "SBS 2008" as one of the 'support systems' for the patch....perhaps that's why it won't install and perhaps Windows Update has 'selected' it for your system erroneously.
