IMAP Usernam/password error

I have set up IMAP over SSL and when trying to connect outlook from and outside source it fails on username/password. I have domain/username then network password. It seems that I am missing a simple step somewhere.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I already did that setup, and I went back and verified.  The problem is when I am at a pc outside of my network trying to get my work email setup on outlook it fails the test at my username/password.

Ok now I have the authentication working on the outlook client outside the office through the IMAP protocol, and I can send email to my work account from my outside outlook client. I am not receiving any email to my outside outlook client though, any suggestions?

Ok now it started working, not sure what I did.
