AVG Admin server is not running

I have a Windows SBS 2008. I have AVG Antivirus 8.5 loaded on it. I then installed AVG Admin 9.0 on it. When I look in the AVG Admin Server Monitor, it shows that that the server is paused and has the following error:

AVG Admin Server is not running
Could not connect to the database. The error is:
I/O error for file "C:\PROGRAM FILES (x86)/AVG\AVG9ADMIN\SERVER\AVGDB.FDB".
Error while trying to open file: the process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process ...

I cannot stop or restart the AVG Admin Server.

I was thinking of uninstalling the admin console, rebooting and then reinstalling it and rebooting again, but have to wait until after 5PM until everyone is gone. I am logged in remotely trying to resolve the problem.

Hi,

We are official AVG resellers and I seem to recall that we ended up removing Admin 8.5 before installing Admin 9. I would try this first.

thanks for the come back. So your saying that I should remove both AVG AV 8.5 and AVG Admin 9.0, reboot the SBS server. Then install AVG Admin 9.0?

Do you know where I can get AVG Admin 9.0? I was given AVG Admin 8.5 and told that they installed that and then upgraded to 9.0.

I would for obvious reasons prefer to use one file to do the installation.
