I am trying to set the track changes on the Reviewing toolbar in Word2003 to default as "Final". Currently when any user opens a word document it defaults to "Final Showing Markup" which has caused some frustration for employees.
I believe it has something to do with the normal.dot file but when i located and opened this file and changed the drop down to final and saved. The next time i opened it reverted back. So it is obviously an option somewhere in word that I cannot see.
I also tried locating an option in group policy but to no avail.
Basically the short of it is. How do I set Word 2003 to open with the track changes set to Default?
