"There were errors copying to this location. Ensure that this location exists, that you have write permissions to it and that the destination file is not in use"

The below is my original question which I have been recommended to use the "Send To" option which, when used, I get the above error message.

"I have created two team sites in Sharepoint for a project I am working on. I have some project documents that are on both sites (site 1 and site 2) which will be worked on by multiple team members. When a document is opened from one team site and the changes saved, I need the same document in the other team site to be updated automatically with the same savings. For example, word or excel file on team site 1 which is updated / edited has been saved, I then need the same word or excel file (for example) on team site 2 to copy and save these updates automatically. Can this be done and are there any solutions??"

This is what you are talking about VSS file sharing. I don't think you can share files between two sharepoint sites. This experts-exchange link puts some light on it https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/22588091/How-can-a-document-library-be-shared-between-sharepoint-2007-sites-and-sub-sites-WSS-not-MOSS.html.
If you have any queries then please let me know. You can have different document libraries and then need to manually copy files.
