I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi Pritam,

I am not a .net developer, but I have had success doing this with CFPOP using ColdFusion. You can download the attachment to a location of your choosing, then read it either with CFHTTP or CFFILE.

thanks,
is there any other way? i am currently looking at WebDav.

I'm sure there are many ways, but that's the only way I personally know how to implement, sorry.

ColdFusion also has the <CFexchange> functionality (version 8+) that will interface directly with your exchange server, it can do all kinds of stuff, like get and set attachments in mail messages, create calendar items, tasks, contacts...etc. Pretty cool. Easy too.

.NET does have an API for exchange. Here is the support policy: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/813349

I think they probably all can use webdav because you have to enable it to use CFexchange.

thanks,
I have opted for WebDAV and now able to access the mails. The next step for me is to save the attachments and process them.
Here are a couple of links that i followed, very usedful!:
