creating a new database in sql server 2005

Hi Experts,

I am trying to create a db by doing this
1)iexpanded the object browser
2)right-clicked on database folder
3)create new db appears
4)filled in the necessary textboxes
5)clicked okay

then i recieved

full answer: the login you are connecting with lacks some powers.

check out which server roles that login has:

Fixed roles
The fixed server roles are applied serverwide, and there are 2 predefined server roles to allow this function:
    * SysAdmin: Any member can perform any action on the server.
    * DbCreator: Any member can create, alter, drop, and restore databases.
