Free secure iPhone paging/texting

Hello -

I am interested in finding out how I could text/page our doctors securely. The issues is that in order to page/text a doctor from a PC the need to do it via outlook. Well, I have a exchange server with a transport rule that automaticly puts a confindentiality statement on every email that goes out by default. So what happens is a doctos gets text with confidentiality statement and makes the text too long.

I'm looking for a way to page/text doctors securely and not have confidentiality statement attached. I cannot figure out a way to do this without removing transport rule within exchange. I need the confidentiality to be set for every user while using outlook and sending email, I just dont want it to go out when sending a text/page to our doctors.

Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

We ran into the same issue.. we have two ways we do it..

#1  Create a contact for each pager\phone address. which uses SMS and bypasses the footer.

For example 6515551212@tmomail.net

#2 3rd party product called TelAlert (not free though): http://www.telalert.com/Products/TelAlert/index.php

Ok....sounds good (#1), but do I have to create a email account for each number? If its just a contact, then whats the best way to accomplish this? Basicly, how would I do this.

Yes you create a contact for each which uses the SMS address.. no user account or mailbox is needed.

Got it. Awesome!!!! Best solution.

I created a new distrubution list. I then created new mail contactes within exchange and added to distrubution list. I edit rule and made exception to the specified distrubution list.

It works great, thank you so much.
