Painting a part of the cell in a JTable

I have a requirement like, the headers of the JTable has to be the timings starting from 6:00AM to 7:30PM with an half an hour interval.
Say for e.g. the column1 --> 6:00AM and the Column2 --> 6:30AM. If I have two rows then I will be having four cells formed. So in the row 1 I have two cells and in the row 2 I have two cells. Now the requirement is like I have to paint second 50%of the first cell and the first 50% of the second cell in green. This indicates that I have a free time between 6:15A.M and the 6:45AM

Please let me know how to implement this in JAVA Swing.

Thanks in Advance
