Best way to minimize voice and data charges when overseas

I have about 25 users who have company supplied iPhones.  They travel overseaes quite a bit, and I have them all on unlimited domestic data and voice plans.  I also have all the features offered for International travel (World Traveler, International data plan, etc..), however some of them come back from a weeks trip with a MASSIVE bill.  Does anyone have good suggestions that I can type up in an email to these users specific to the iPhone that will minimize costs or at lease make them aware of the charges that they are incurring?  Thanks.

Data Roaming is the bit that will kill you when travelling abroad.
Best option os to advise everyone to make sure it is turned off by default and only use Wi-Fi to connect which won't end up with massive charges.
Ideally if they can use free wi-fi, then the cost will be zero, otherwise, pay for wi-fi where available and do not use Data on anything else other than wi-fi.

To turn off Data Roaming, Go to Settings> General> Data Roaming> On / Off
Just a thought, but why not look into a Corporate Skype account for your users.

tell them to disable automatic email fetching. that will save you a lot of money especially if they are heavy email users. Of course they should be aware that browsing the web just for the sake of browsing is against your policy. Even game playing will incur charges because most iphone games (free ones) have built in adverts at the top which require internet connection to connect to the ad server and rotate ads while you play.

What you pay for is Data when you are Roaming.  Adverts / games / web browsing can all be done if they are hooked up via Wi-Fi.
It is when they are connected to the Data Network and sending / receiving Data that the bills will kick in.
Turn off Data Roaming before they go - advise that it needs to stay off when abroad and your bills should be tiny.
There are a few ways to go about this.

When you are overseas, data can burn your money away in a blink of an eye.  Some times, just not using 3G isn't enough because there are some applications that update themselves and will start to use up a few MBs which turn into larger sums of roaming data.  In your Settings application on your iPhone, find the place that says 3G, and turn it off.  Therefore, you can only use data in a Wifi zone and this will be free transfers.

Also, you may want to not want phone calls either.  I would recommend turning on Airplane Mode but then you can turn Wifi on therefore, you won't receive data, but you can still use Wifi.

Hope this helps :)
There is an application called SBSettings from Cydia. It can completely disable the internet connection on iPhone. Adt it is free. Unfortunately it can be instaled only when an iPhone IS Jailbroken.
Frzsombor, if he gives his employees iPhones, I doubt he would want them to be jailbroken.  Also, airplane mode does essentially the same thing.
