Copy SQL table to a file that can be sent via FTP

Is there a way I can copy an SQL table to a file that can be sent via FTP to another site?

I do not want to export the table to a file like a CSV file that would require data to be imported.

Thanks for any ideas.

Yes, you can configure using SSIS to export your table to a Flat File and you can use FTP task to FTP it to the required location.

If you want it as a CSV file, then you can save it as tab delimited or space delimited file.
And once you export the contents, then it would definitely needs an import step to load records back into table.

If you're going to use FTP, you'll have to export the desired table to file (.csv/.txt).  This will require an export/import step.

I do not want to export the file to a csv/txt file before the FTP because then it would be necessary to import the data back into an table at the remote end.   I want to eliminate the import step on the remote end to save processing time.

Thank you

Since you want your table records to be migrated into another server, then you can try using

* Import/Export wizard
* SSIS
* Linked Servers
* Distributed Queries
