Linux / ClamAV Eating up all available disk space

I'm running Ensim Pro X on a dedicated machine at The Planet in Houston.

The OS is Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4 (Nahant Update 5)

This evening my server ran out of disk space.

The /tmp directory contained hundreds of clamav-* sub-directories taking up over 200 GIGS of space.

I removed all of these files but they're coming back.

At clamav.net it says thay have disabled older versions as of yesterday (Apr 15, 2010) and a search on "clamav disk space" located a message suggesting that others are having this problem.

I can't get MySQL to start and I can't get into my Ensim Control panel although I can SSH.

How do I get clamav to stop?
