"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

the 2940 has a mtbf of over 70 years, as said in this document:

i found a mtbf for 3560 of about 16 years in a webshop. not in an official cisco document.

maybe the mtbf for a 4510 refers to the line cards not to the chassis

Cisco isnt giving the MTBF value of the 4500 in its datasheet..

If you need the value for an evaluation/offer probably you have t contact cisco directly.

Probably, this value will vary depending the modules you are going to use to the cisco 4500 (cisco 4500 switch is modular)
