How to load a registry hive programmatically, or otherwise access a hidden HKEY_USERS setting

Hi Folks,

I am writing a utility program in c++ which scans through every user in HKEY_USERS and returns information for system administration purposes on the users registered on the server.

However, when running under a domain admin user such as DOMAIN\fredbloggs, the hives for other users are not visible. When I log out and login a DOMAIN\joebloggs, only joebloggs is visible in HKEY_USERS

I know i can enumerate all users from

     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

But I really want to be able to open up the HKEY_USERS for each one of those, to read settings inside that Hive

Is there any way, through windows api, to open up these hives and get settings from them for all users on the system ?

thanks

'RegLoadKey()' (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms724889(VS.85).aspx) serves this purpose. The usage is pretty straightfoward, just make sure that calling process has the SE_RESTORE_NAME and SE_BACKUP_NAME privileges on the computer in which the registry resides.
