LCS 2005 cannot be upgraded directly to OCS 2007 but you can install OCS2007 in your environment and migrated users over to it.

You LCS 2005 environment must have SP1 for LCS 2005 installed and you'll also need KB 911996 and 921543 installed in your LCS environment for interoperability during the migration.

Following is a link to all the downloadable documentation for OCS 2007.  You'll particularly want to download and read through the document Migrating to OCS 2007.

Does this mean that when moving into OCS 2007 we need the client users to loose there contacts that they have added in there clients

no when users moved to OCS 2007 contacts will move along with them so contacts will move with users

:-(
i am using ADMT to move users and then mail enabling them and then using priasoft software to Mailbox migrate after this i enable the OCS for the user. In this way i am lossing the contacts.

Aha, yes this is why you lose contacts, as far as I know no workaround that issue

OCS cross forest move will force users to lose their contacts, this is an issue that there are no workaround for it

no there is nothing in the documentation that says when you move corss the forst you will lose the cotacts, this is a common issue since you enable the users for OCS you don't move them; so there is nothing to invent here since this is a common expected behavior.
another note, you don't move users you enable them for OCS so they will have no contacts, there is nothing in the documentation that talks about moving contacts only.

Sorry if I couldn't provide the documents that you want directly.

One Q... how can i move OCS users 1 at a time to LCS?

BusbarSolutions ArchitectCommented:
you mean from LCS to OCS or from OCS to LCS.

LCS to OCS
2005 to 2007

well, moving users requires you to deploy OCS in the same forest, in your case I can see that they are not in the same forest, so you cannot move them
