I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Without seeing some code, this will be hard to determine. Even with the code it may still be difficult. Have you considered doing a remote debug?

unfortunately all I have is a executable.
I do not have access to the code.

According to the Docs, InvalidOperationException indicates any function error that is not specifically related to the function's arguments. Pretty vague, right? Aside from this vagueness, there is no telling as to whether the program writer wrapped this exception around another exception.

Did you possibly receive a stack trace with the exception?

Has Powershell sent you back into the Stone Age?

If managing Active Directory using Windows Powershell® is making you feel like you stepped back in time, you are not alone.  For nearly 20 years, AD admins around the world have used one tool for day-to-day AD management: Hyena. Discover why.

Unfortunately... it simply shuts down with a (DEBUG and CLOSE) button.
I dont have any more information.

The info I posted is from the event log's log file.

I would go checking the frameworks.

Have you checked that FW 3.5 is installed, along with its service pack?

.NET 2.0 SP2
.NET 3.5 SP1

Also, have you run a Microsoft Update on 208 server?
that could solve the problem also.
