DB2's code pages & other RDBMS's collation compatbility

When DB2 is interacting with another RDBMS, what steps should be thought through to choose a compatible code page for that collation or vice versa?

language is english only.

I wear a lot of hats...

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

if you are only using english, you probably don't need to worry. DB2 should be able to convert the data correctly.
Basically, the best approach would be to choose the same code page so no conversion is done at all

momi_sabag, for example the SQL Server database that interacts with the DB2 DB maybe a particular collation, and that is incompatible with the DB2's code page... even though both are english only... so it has to be changed/redone at one end
