Backing Up Virtual Machines with Hyper-V and SCVMM

Hi

Probably quite an easy questions, could somebody please point me in the direction of the proper way to backup virtual machines in SCVMM.

I've had a little google, but haven't turned up anything interesting.

Notes:

I have a Hyper-V enabled server 2008 R2 with multiple virtual machines. The machines are on a striped volume that i would like to backup to a different location weekly, in case of server failure.

Would be quite good if the backup could take place even when virtual machines are running.

Thank you

SCVMM is a management suite for Hyper-V and VS. You can use server backup in WS08/R2 to backup VMs.

However, for a more robust solution to backing up VMs, I suggest using DPM.

Have a look at this too.
