I have a Logitech MX5000 and Mouse MX Laser, windows 7 32 bit not reconizing the keyboard

I have a Logitech MX5000 and Mouse MX Laser, windows 7 32 bit not reconizing the keyboard, although I install the latest software, the keyboard still showing not connecting?please advise

try replacing the keyboards batteries.

can it connect to another machine?

Did you install the driver as an administrator? Right-click on the setup-file, run as, administrator.

Or try to unpack the driver to a folder, the start menu, right-click on "My Computer" Device Manager, seek out the keyboard, should have a yellow sign, update driver, choose you folder.

the keyboard batteries are new, I didnt try to connect it to another machine since this is the only machine I have windows 7 installed  and I dont have license for another machine,
