Windows Installer - External UI handler

Hello,

I need to use a different UI for Windows Installer for which I am using MsiSetExternalUI API and using the messages received in my handler to make changes on custom UI (Progress bar etc.). Everything is going fine except Custom Action.

I have a custom action that gets executed even before WelcomeDlg. It has an entry in InstallUISequence table. Now the problem is, Its not appearing in my external UI handler. If I move that Custom Action entry to InstallExecuteSequence table, it works like a charm...!!

I am referring this links,

Help Needed!!!!

I would start by moving this custom action down the script until it shows up in your UI handler. It's possible that it's "invisible" until certain installation action, for example costing. That said, I have a feeling that (1) you have advanced down this path further than anybody else, and (2) as anybody who has, you will be encountering issues and bugs that nobody else did. I've been down this road many times (with different technologies), and it's always amazing to hit an issue that makes it clear that you are the only one in the whole world trying it.
