Backup Exec 12.5 on a DC?

Presently I have 5 DCs all running 2003 and one Symantec Backup Exec 12.5 running on a 2003 box.

We really need another DC and with the present economy, have no means to purchase a new server.  (I work for a school district.)

Has anyone ever converted a S. Backup Exec box into a DC or know of any cons to doing so?  This box sits idle most of the day and we have very few users working while the backups are running.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have ran Backupexec on a DC without any problems at all. The only thing that you might run into is that your local users and groups are disabled when the member server becomes a DC so if you have backupexec running off local accounts you would have to create those in AD and add these accounts in the place of the local accounts.
