Default FTP Site Windows XP
When the PC restarted the default FTP site was stopped.
What service needs to be set to Automatic to make sure this
starts on reboot ?

you had to enable IIS
You need to make sure IIS (Internet Information Services) is set to start automatically.

What is the actual service name ?
(IIS Admin is already set to Automatic)

Do you have a 'MSFTPSVC' listed in services?

No
Can you start the ftp manually from the IIS control panel? Or do you recieve error messages?
