Entourage users cannot connect to Exchange 2003 after moving mailboxes

I moved users' mailboxes to another Storage Group in a new mail store on a different volume of the same Exchange 2003 server. There were no issues with accessing the mailboxes in their new location with Outlook, except one minor one which was resolved. However, 3 of my Entourage 2008 users cannot connect to the Exchange server. I went ahead and deleted their Exchange account in Entourage and set it back up again. Entourage connects with the Exchange server when setting up the account again and synchronizes all their folders and email (including new emails received while the account was being set up), but it still indicates that it cannot connect when the account is set back up again and when they try to send and receive email. The users' mailboxes all show up in ESM and look fine. Is there something I am missing? This is the first time moving mailboxes for Entourage users, so I have no idea what the issue is. Also, the users can connect to OWA fine, so I know it's an Entourage issue. Any help will be greatly appreciated. The users are running Mac OSX Snow Leopard and using Microsoft Entourage 2008.

it would be a good idea to delete their entourage profile and recreate it

I thought that is what I was doing when I deleted their Exchange account in ACCOUNT SETTINGS in Entourage, and re-created it. How do I delete the Entourage profile?

oh i see i missed that part you said...

so - are they actually able to send/receive mail, but it just shows an error message?  can you catch the details of that, if so, it's probably the offline address list not syncing

The account itself in Entourage shows "NOT CONNECTED", then when they click on 'SEND/RECEIVE' they get a message stating:
"Mail cannot be recieved at this time. The server account "USER NAME" returned the error 'Lgon Failure: unknown user name or bad password.' Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?"

When they click "Yes" and re-enter their password the same error message appears.

I did a test and tried to login as an old user who used Entourage and who I moved as well. I was able to access their account with Outlook on my Windows machine. But when I set them up in Entourage on my Mac laptop, I am getting the same error. At least now I can troubleshoot from my office without having to bother the users having the issue.

I found  temporary workaround for this issue. If I place the 3 users in the Domain Admins group, all their Entourage issues go away, including ones they were experiencing before the mailbox move. So this indicates to me that it's a permissions issue, which for same strange reason was not a problem when they were in the old mail store.

The issue was resolved by binding their Mac machines to AD and having them log in using their AD accounts and using Entourage. They were using their local Mac accounts when they were experiencing the issues.
