Flash Static Text Links Effect Line Spacing

For some reason when I create text links in a static text field it causes dramatic changes in line spacing?

Is there a way to avoid this?

I think it is somewhat vague...  Can you create an example FLA that contains what's happening and how it should be???

Sorry to be vague. Included is a fla example file.

You will see a subtle difference in the height of the text field when you test the movie. Of course this gets much more pronounced when working with large amounts of text. In my case I am using the font Archer, and it is a extremely dramatic change that is causing me significant problems. I would switch to Arial, but the client's font is Archer and the design has already been signed off on. : (

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

Oh...  I think that's just he way it is with the static textField...  Try dynamic text and see if that works for you...  Make sure that you are setting the wordWrap to true and possibly the multiline to true as well...

CyanBlue,

Unfortunately, Dynamic text fields will not work for me since I am using different font sizes, italic and bold, and links. In Dynamic text fields you cannot do this. Correct?

Cyan,

Sorry, I'm dumb. I didn't realize you could do all those things if you just click render as HTML.

Thanks for you time!

You're welcome...  ;)
Make sure you are embedding the fonts you need since Flash does not automatically embed the fonts for dynamic and input textFields...  Flash only does that for the static textField...
