Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do you need to "white-list" or grant specific access to a certain website or domain? Or what are you trying to accomplish with getting around the firewall?

You can use a proxy to do that or if you know how to disable your firewall software, you can do that too. Do you have access to the SonicWall software so you can add the school's website domain? The safest way is to add the school website to your allowed list or "White-list"

I have no access to the SonicWall software. What is a proxy? And how do you use it? Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

You will probably need to ask your IT department to allow that site for you. Or the person in charge of managing the sonicwall. It's probably filtering all http traffic.
