blackberry enterprise server password issue

I am using blackberry enterprise server and I am having an issue where it does not accept my password. I have had this happen several times in the past but normally restarting the services fixes it. It has been up and running fine for months now then suddenly I can’t get in the  BlackBerry Administration Service. I use the same user name and password as I do to log onto the actual server so I know the account is good. It just suddenly stops letting me in, tells me user name or password is incorrect. I am not sure of the exact version of bes but it is the new one with the web interface.  Any-one have this problem or know how to fix it?

Thanks in advance!

We’d all like to think our company’s data is well protected, but when you ask IT professionals they admit the data probably is not as safe as it could be.

Ok, so it sounds you're running at least BES 5.0 and that you're using an AD account for authorization. This was a bug in BES 5.0 that was addressed in Maintenance Release 2 so you should update to at least that as soon as possible - and you don't need to log into BES to do so. The bug has to do with digesting the creds for BAS - personally I always use a local BAS login and not an AD one... at least make yourself an account that doesn't depend on AD. Further to that, SP1 has been released and I think a MR3 for it, so you should be at BES 5.0.1 MRx. You can find out what version you're running from add/remove programs.

With that said, please post back the version info of your BES and/or perform the upgrade if applicable.

You are correct, it is version 5.0

I updated my BES to 5.0.1 and now it will not even pull up the page BlackBerry Administration Service page at all. I restarted the services and the server itself and it still does not open... going to try and install all of the updates.
You only installed SP1? I would say as you suggested install all latest updates while you have this window then retry accessing BAS. Is your BAS hosted on a separate system or the same as your BES messaging? Might want to also try an iisreset from cmd on the BAS host.
