I just downloaded the latest Android SDK for the Mac, android-sdk-r05-<br />
mac_86 off the android developer page, and when I opened up the<br />
android manager under tools and went to available packages and and<br />
clicked on the link to the repository xml file, I got an error<br />
message, &quot;This repository requires a more recent version of the<br />
Tools. &nbsp;Please update.&quot;<br />

Based on the forums it appears the the Android SDK Tools, revision 5,<br />
which is what's listed on installed packages, should be current enough<br />
to get the new packages. &nbsp;Plus, I can't even seem to find anyplace<br />
where I can download more recent tools.<br />

Android Repository xml file problem

Software is any set of instructions that directs a computer to perform specific tasks or operations. Computer software consists of programs, libraries and related non-executable data (such as documentation). Computer software is non-tangible, contrasted with computer hardware, which is the physical component of computers. Software written in a machine language is known as "machine code". More commonly, a miscellaneous group is made up of an odd group of things that don't fit anywhere else.

Android is a mobile operating system developed by Google, based on the Linux kernel and designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Android's user interface is based on direct manipulation, using touch gestures that loosely correspond to real-world actions, such as swiping, tapping and pinching, to manipulate on-screen objects, along with a virtual keyboard for text input. In addition to touchscreen devices, variants of Android are also used on notebooks, game consoles, digital cameras, televisions, automobiles and other electronics. Applications are usually developed in Java programming language using the Android software development kit (SDK), but other development environments are also available, including Delphi, Ruby and Visual Studio (using C++).
