IE 8 Auto install with WSUS

Hi All

Has anyone has any success installing IE 8 Automatically & Silently through WSUS 3.0 SP2. I have about 800 PC's I need to roll it out to and it won't auto install. Everything I have read says it needs user interaction.

Any ideas.

These should help you out

Deploying Internet Explorer 8 through Windows Update, WSUS, a shared  folder, a CD, or a hyperlink all require user intervention to configure  the installation. Deploying Internet Explorer 8 through SCCM, SMS or  Group Policy can be performed silently, without user intervention.

So I'll us GP as I don't have SCCM or SMS.

I guess I can use WSUS then to report on the installations ?
