Capturing Windows 7 with Imagex

I'm trying to capture a windows 7 image to a network share.  For some reason it only captures around 250mb when the c: is 21 GB.  It always worked capturing xp images.

This is what I do:

net use z: \\server\share$
imagex /capture c: z:\image.wim "image"

Only thing I saw as MAYBE a problem - you are not specifying a path - you are specifying a drive.

The last folder C: was set to is what gets imaged.  Try:
imagex /capture c:\ z:\image.wim "image"

It's a subtle difference, but it may be the problem.

Still haven't found a solution.

Actually, imagex doesn't want to be captured directly to a network share for fear of corruption.  Capture to c: drive and see what happens.

Try imagex /capture /compress maximum c: z:\image.wim "image"
Try using th dism.exe which is included in the latest version of WAIK

z:\imagex /compress fast /check /flags “Professional” /capture D: z:\image.wim “image”
