issue with registration of the Orbis Task Centre MS SQL agent

I have installed Orbis Task Centre 4.5 on to a Windows XP box.

I have installed the MS SQL trigger agent on the SQL server (64 bit), but it is advising that it is not registered correctly.

I have now removed the agent from the main SQL server.

What is the best way to rectify this problem.... Should I re-install it again?

As a result the task centre can not talk to (see) the main SQL server from the other machine.

If that is base TaskCentre 4.5 then the SQL agent was not supported on 64 bit machines.  At Service Release 3 the agent was re-architected and supports 64 bit installations.
Unfortunately, XP is not supported as a server platform at this release.  It will allow you to install and will most probably work, but only server operating systems are supported for the server.
Not sure if this helps you.

The software is Orbis Task Centre.  It may be a UK only product.
anyway the issue was that an old agent was still registered.  I removed the old SQL agent and then re-installed and this allowed me to select the Orbis server to link it to.
This then worked.
