Hi,

You can change group name by using command "groupmod" syntax is as follows

# groupmod -n <New-Group-Name>

To delete group use

# groupdel <group-name>

Hi,

You can do this by configuring samba on Linux and I think you have mentioned your workgroup settings in you "/etc/samba/smb.conf" file of Linux. Hence your Linux machine is displayed in workgroup.

Edit /etc/samba/smb.conf (or /etc/smb.conf) and change "workgroup" option. You may need to restart samba after editing this file.
