LG LW70 Express laptop - loose power connector

I have an LG LW70 Express laptop with a loose power connector. How do I fix it?  Is the power connector a separate part that can be easily replaced? Do I need a new motherboard?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You don't necessarily need a new mobo.  If the jack is loose, you can either replace it (if you feel very secure with a soldering iron), or send it somewhere for repair.  Repairs of this type shouldn't run more than $100 and can be handled by any good computer repair place in your town.  You can also find one to send your laptop to on the Internet.

I've used them several times and they do a great job.
