Virtual PC 2007 Networking
I am using Virtual PC 2007 64 bit on Windows 7 64 bit. My virtual machine is running XP Pro SP2. My laptop is a IBM T61 with Intel Wireless and an internal Verizon Broadband card.
When I am at home or at the office I am able to use the network through the virtual machine using the wireless network.
My problem is that I am never able to see the network through the virtual machine using the Verizon Broadband card. Nor am I able to see the network of hotel or public hot spots.

In the settings page of the virtual pc, you need to have both adapters listed on the networking page. If that is so, then we need to look at the settings of the broadband card and make sure they match those of the wireless.

In the Networking section of Settings I have:
Not Connected
Local Only
Intel Gigabit Network
Intel Wireless Network
Sierra Wireless 1xEV-DO Network Adapter
Shared Netowk (NAT)
The Sierra is the Verizon card.

Does the laptop see the network and hotspots through the Sierra adapter, as well as browsing the internet?

If I shut off the Intel wireless adapter, VZ Access Manager will only see the WWAN.
Sounds like the properties need to be looked at on the Sierra adapter. Can you post either the output of 'ipconfig /all' or the Internet Protocal IP properties of each adapter?

This IP address is coming from Verizon's servers/preconfigured settings which is different that your local network subnet. That explains why you cannot browse/see you local network. What I am not certain of is whether those settings can be changed by the user interface. Check the VX Access Manager to see if you have an option to enable/disable the Wi-Fi radio.
I'll do a little research to see if VX Access Manager will allow changing the IP settings.

Note, When I'm on the road only the Verizon will be acitive.
Maybe I'm confused... Are you wanting to browse your local network while you are on the road? Does everything work like you wish on the laptop; just not on the Virtual PC?
