OLEAUT32.DLL - The Procedure entry point could not be located in the dll error

Hi Experts.
I'm getting a "The Procedure entry point could not be located in the dll" error from some in-house developed applications when I run them on any of our PCs with WIndows 7 64 bit.  I havnt got a 32 bit version to try it on.

Any ideas how to fix it?

Your in-house application is not using a compatible oleautl32 file and mainly because this in-house app was created way before Win 7.  Your developer must recompile the application with Win 7 compatible oleautl32 DLL file and the developer needs to make it's for both x86 and x64 bit OS.   If they are using Install Shield or Wise Studio or Wix to wrap the program, they'll need to find the x64 Oleautl32 as a merge module add it to the program.  Your developer should understand you when you say it needs the oleautl32 merge module added.

I am not a developer so I don't know where to get it, I am guessing maybe copy the file off the system32 folder from an 64-bit OS and also copy the file off of the sysWow64 folder also.  I really don't know, I assume all developers know how to get merge modules.  I think Install Shiled should let you download the file straight from their website too.  Good Luck.
