Network bandwidth Monitoring

Can someone suggest a good network monitoring tool to monitor the bandwidth between two switches? We have a fibre link between two site, and a Cisco 3750G switch at each end, I’m after a monitoring tool to watch the bandwidth between the two sites, free it possible, and I’m assuming that I use SNMP to do this as I’ve been on Cisco NetFlow device support page and our switches are not supported by NetFlow (http://localhost:8080/help/cisco-netflow/netflow-ios-versions.html)

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Although we now use a paid tool to do this, for years we utilized MRTG. Originally this software was run on Linux, however it has been ported to Windows as well. It is not the most user friendly tool, however if you spend the time to read the documentation it is easy to figure out.
