asked on
how to change the CNAME with DNS server
I have been asked to do the following from the company that is hosting our email exchage servers.
To my understanding you are using Xcompany.com as your Active Directory domain. In this case, you will also need to update your internal DNS servers.
All that’s required a change of a CNAME record.
You will need to change:
autodiscover CNAME autodiscover.emailhosting. com.
TO:
autodiscover CNAME autordr.emailhosting.com.
Please advise

They are asking me to do this on my end... .on my internal DNS server.
If you open your DNS console and expand Forward Lookup Zones do you see xcompany.com?
And if you do, can you see an existing record called autodiscover?

I see the autodiscover but the type is listed as a HOST A.
