Need to Swap from BES to BES Express

I just found out about the Blackberry Enterprise Server Express option.  It appears to do all I need and it is free.  I currently use BES and have 10 user licenses.  I want to discontinue my BES installation and convert to BES express so I can offer to more than 10 users (we have several folks with Blackberry's using the OWA setup but it does not sync calendar or contacts).  I read that a BES and BES express cannot exist in the same Windows domain.  I am not going to set up another Domain.  So my question is does anyone have any instructions or advice on how to perform the swap to BES express with minimal down time for the existing Blackberry users.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I looked into this.  I'm sure there is something we don't know.  I have 4.1, but to go to 5.x it would be a lot of money.  So they have an Express release that would offer as much as 5.x for free?  I read up on it and decided against doing the installation.  There would be obvious down time that would have to be dealt with after hours.  Minimal down time would be a few hours still.

You can run BES and BES Express in the same windows domain, but not the same blackberry domain. That means you can't use the BES SQL database and connect BES Express to it - you'll need to install a separate instance or logical database for it.

there isn't an official way of seamlessly transitioning users from one to another. I would build BES Express on a separate server with its own MSDE/SQL Express database, and test to ensure it's working fine. Once done, take one user, wipe their handheld, remove them from full BES, add them onto BES Express, enterprise activate. In all, the process should take approx 30-40 minutes, depending on how much data they have to enterprise activate.

Hope that helps.
