SSRS getting specific value from dataset

I have a table that has a bunch of application parameters in it. I am trying to figure out a way to load up that dataset, and then grab a specific record from it.

For example:

ID       Name
1001   Bob Smith

I would like to pull the "Bob Smith" from the name field and then have it show in a textbox.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Well one way would be to define a query within the report  that simply filtered by the value you want (either where name = 'Bob Smith' or ID = 1001). You can then add a table to the report layout that uses the query as its data source and set the value of the (single) column in the table to the value of the Name field.

But this sounds a little this all you need to do?
