Synchronization of domain password with system password

Hi,
We have few remote users who are working from home and rarely come to office. We have domain password policy to change domain password in every 30 days now the issue is they have to remember 2 or sometime more than that passwords whenever they change their domain password untill their systems not connected on local LAN (office network)

So i want to know how can we sync domain passwords with their system password so that they dont need to remember single password.

If they do a RunAs on something like a desktop shortcut, or cmd.exe/iexplore.exe, using thier current DOMAIN credentials, while connected to VPN, then it will update the local copy as well.

Usually while connected to VPN, Windows will ask for the Current Credentials, and you lock/unlock the pc with the DOMAIN creds.....

thanks john but is there any way thru which we can do this without the user intervention ?

Not that I am aware of......You can remotely launch processs on thier machines, but that would require you to know all thier passwords...... Kinda defeats the premise of security....

thanks John, i will check it on my laptop tomorrow from VPN and let u know.
I also have another related issue, remote users didn't get the password change notification like office users so what can we do so that remote users will also notified thru any medium like emails that their domain password going to expire after these days and they have to change it.

Cause they arent logging into the Domain..... Only thier cached profiles....

It can be setup inside of OWA if you are using that (not an Exchange guy, sorry)....

right but will they get that password expiry prompt if they sync their domain password with system password thru the process you suggested earlier and connected thru VPN ?

No, no prompt, it just updates current credentials.

I use this periodically if I have to recreate a user's profile remotely, but they cannot login to VPN first. Or, Or, if I just need to cache a profile real quick before I return a system.....
