The refresh option for a report in the CMC clears / unchecks when an unrelated change is saved in the rpt file in the repository explorer / enterprise items folder. How / what can be set to ensure that the refresh option property persists / remains checked when a save is made to the rpt file? We're using BOE XI R2 SP5?

What does it uncheck? This is a bit vague in details. Almost every main option that can be reset ties to the refresh option tab. Object Repository refresh I turn off as it does create other unexpected issues (maybe sp5 fixed this unexpected events). But if you are talking about parameters and database information, you can uncheck these in the refresh tab.

When saving the rpt file the "use object repository..." check box in the cmc unchecks...
This looks to occur only when you do not do a "save as" and check the "enable repository refresh" check box when saving the rpt file... if you "save as" the rpt file and check the enable repository refresh vs. make the edit and simply save the rpt file the check box remains checked....

Specifically, what I'm doing is inserting labels in the header of 100's of reports and storing the label in the repository. What I'm testing is whether / how I can change the label in one location (repository) and apply it to the multiple reports that have it. As long as the "use object repository..." refresh option is checked in the cmc the report does show in the object repository tool helper where multiple report look to be able to be selected and a change to the label in the repository is then applied to all reports selected...
