Implementing RSA SecurID for Exchange OWA 2007

We're trying to implement RSA SecurID on Exchange OWA 2007 (on Windows 2003_64), and are running into some difficulty. We currently have an SecurID appliance to authenticate VPN logins. Is it possible to use the same appliance to authenticate OWA logins as well?

Also, do we need to generate a new "sdconf.rec" file specific to OWA, or can we use the same one generated for VPN? If different, where is there documentation on how we can generate the sdconf.rec file for OWA? We've installed the RSA Authentication Agent just to try it out w/ the VPN sdconf.rec file. However, when we do the authentication test, we're getting an "Access Denied" error.

Thanks.

Shreedhar,
Thanks for your suggestion. I've gone over this site and its links before, but it didn't provide much help. I've also gone through the RSA Web Agent installation guide, which is good for installation instructions, but doesn't discuss much about the "sdconf.rec" file generation.

I'll keep looking, but thanks again for the suggestion.

Hi,

As per the http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc302537.aspx

Procedure 3: Set Up the ISA Server Computer as an RSA ACE/Agent

You can use the same sdconf.rec which is there on the RSA ACE/Server computer

Hope this helps,
Shree

Shree,
Thanks again for your input.
We're actually not using an ISA server in this configuration. The OWA server is also the RSA agent directly. In any case, we did get this part of the issue resolved. Work needed to be done on the RSA server side (new sdconf.rec & nodesecret.rec files).
