Unlimited character text field in Oracle 11g

Is 4000 the max character limit I can use in a content field? Is there no equivalent to the unlimited text field in SQL Server?

If so, how do I define this new unlimited field so I can create my table with it?

Thanks.

Hi there,

You can use a BLOB which is equivalent (sort of) to SQL Server TEXT/BLOB field

CLOB is correct.  Just wanted to add it will hold 4Gig in a single column.

Not unlimited but close.
