see if you have java already installed,
if so, set the JAVA_HOME env variable to jdk instalation directory and set the PATH varaibel to JAVA_HOME/bin directory.

if you do not have java, then you will need to install it (see Stoner79 link)

maybe you should have got a warning when you installed your software.

where did you see this error?
probably you need to set the JAVA_HOME environmental variable if oyu had already installed java

This error was recorded in application error log event in windows 2003 , when i tried to start service (under services.msc ) of my application / software i get this error.
