SharePoint view which webparts have been used and where

Hi Experts,

Is it possible to get a list of where all/specific webparts have been used in a SharePoint site?

Thanks

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There is no direct way is availabe to know this, but what you can do is add logic in webpart which can log it's parent page and site when run for the first time itself.. by doing so you can have log of howmany times that web part is added and on hown many pages/site as well..

from within webpart you can access Parent page/page url and site also, so wan't be hard to collect this information programatically. but for sotring you need to think a bit!
