is this a USB, parallel or ethernet switch?
LGH888Author Commented:
Yes it has directjet nic. I also did all the mapping on all computers. It was working just fine a few weeks ago and recently I need to reboot computers or restart printer to be able to print.

I would perform a cold reset on this printer and setup a new static IP.  If the problem persists I would try changing the drivers on the installed computers
snafumasterDirector of Information TechnologyCommented:
Are your IP addresses static or dhcp for the machines and the computers?
LGH888Author Commented:
dynamic ip address.
snafumasterDirector of Information TechnologyCommented:
If the printer is set to dynamic, you should change that to static.  The HP JetDirect menu works well for htis.  If you recieve a dynamic IP address from DHCP and then switch it to manual, by default it will carry over your dynamic information...you just enter through it and you will see the same information.  Then remap the computers and you should be all set.
