Iphone continues to receive email after password has expired

A user has reported that after having to change her log on password on the Windows 2003 domain she continued to be able to receive email on her Iphone.   This continued for 10 hours before the Iphone challenged her to enter her new password.  Upon entering the new password it then retrieved her email.    We have more testing to do, but I wondered if anyone had a take on such a problem.

We have two domain controllers.  Replication seems to be working (using Sites and Services to force produces no errors in Event Viewer) and dcdiag reports all is well.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hello,

This is normal behavior. Once a session is connected, it stays connected even it the account is disabled or the password is changed. The only reason she had to enter her new password is that the session timed out and her iPhone reconnected.
