Sharepoint 2010 Change URL and Port

I have a Sharepoint 2010 Beta Box for testing.
I want to change/add an FQDN and non-standard port so I can port forward from my firewall to the box...say 8222 or something.

Ive looked at the alternate access mappings, but the instructions seem to focus around reverse proxy...and what I want to do doesnt involve that.

It looks like I have to configure it 2 places...in sharepoint and IIS...

Can someone give some direction..and point me to some sharepoint 2010 howtos that make some sense of this maze of overlapping guis that microsoft developers have concocted?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Nevermind, I found the solution myself over here:

http://www.virtual-generations.com/2007/03/26/how-to-modify-ports-and-host-headers-on-sharepoint-2007/

Im still a little fuzzy on the Sharepoint Terminology between Servers/Sites/Site Collections...but I mucked through it and got it working...

Thanks for nothing, too bad I cant claim my own points!
