memory allocation error on PIX firewall

I'm getting an error whenever I try to upload a copy of ASDM to my PIX firewall.

%Error writing flash:/asdm-615.bin (Cannot allocate memory)

Is it just out of space on the flash? or is there something else going on?

show flash
Directory of flash:/

6      -rw-  4615        13:05:20 Jun 08 2009  downgrade.cfg
9      -rw-  7538688     13:32:25 Jun 08 2009  pix804.bin

15998976 bytes total (8436224 bytes free)

The file is 7,598,456 bytes in size

The only thing I can think of is to delete the bin that is already on it but if there are actual flash problems you may have trouble getting anything back on it.  I am thinking the flash to fragmented to get the file there and PIX doesn't have the squeeze command like IOS to line things up pretty.

Good thinking, I'll try to re-upload the OS image when I get a chance.

Luckily its not in production so if it blows up its not the end of the world.

I figured it wasn't yet since you are going down from 8 to 6.  Blow it away there is always the recovery options to get something back on it if need be.
