Video Edit Software With Orange Striped Hat Icon?

Friend of mine is trying to recall a video editing software package name.  She states it had an orange striped hat for an icon on her desktop.  Anyone know what that software might have been?  Thank you!

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Sounds to me like she might be talking about VideoLan or VLC Player. I think the icon is an orange-striped cone (could be a hat), and I don't think it has any video editing functions but Im not positive.
