Purging a SQL 2000 Database

I have an MS SQL 2000 database that has 251 GB of information I was trying to with the generate SQL to create a copy of the database detach the old one and start fresh. this will not work because the views do not want to update. anyways can I copy the database manually and is there a way to purge it of all information so it would be like a new database

thanks

Generate SQL does not always get the dependencies right, but - if you ran the script multiple times, it should get all the VALID objects created.  Sometimes, you have views/procs that are INVALID because the references in them don't work anymore, like a proc that points to a table that has now been deleted.  It would not help anyone to recreate that proc anyway.

When you generate SQL, remove the "drop existing" option.

Give that a try and let us know how it goes.

It looks like the procedures are referencing another database.
Are you recreating the db in a different sql server?
You will need to first restore the db SCADAConfiguration to the new server as well if you need those procs to work.
